Brio Children’s Theatre, formerly Young Actors Company, is your new home to Wisconsin’s #1 children’s premier acting company. Here, you will feel creative, confident, accepted, and accepting of yourself. For over a decade, Brio Children’s Theatre has been providing an ensemble-based environment where your cast collaborates as a team and works together with respect. Your experiences will be rooted in ensemble, and through those ensemble based practices, we strive to make everyone involved feel brave and authentically express themselves and their identity. By exploring the depths of others and cultivating empathy, we find space for our true selves to shine.
Institute Classes

Brio Institute of Music and Theatre Classes provide the foundation for best fit the theater education for you. For budding actors, participating in an introductory themed class can be an outstanding first step into their theater journey to test the waters. For more advanced students, rounding out your theater education in specific focus themed classes like Makeup Design or Accent Studies will polish your skills and excel your talents to new levels. Classes meet once per week.
Academy Actors

Academy Actors offers young theatrical artists ages 3-18 the chance to shine on stage. Combining music, dance and theatre training, your actor will be able to find the perfect group of friends to work and perform with throughout the year.
Private Lessons
- at our Brookfield location -
Brio Studio’s Institute of Music and Theatre offers actors the chance to expand their studies with our one on one private lessons in Voice Studies, Acting Studies and Forensics Studies. Actors can work one one one with a private teacher for 30 or 60 minutes a week.
International Fringe Program

The American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF) is a comprehensive experience that brings ambitious and deserving high school performing arts programs to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (the Fringe). Each program that joins AHSTF at the Fringe is assigned a venue, four performance dates, a technical rehearsal, a dedicated tech team, advertising and marketing support, plus logistic, travel, and operational support for the duration of the program. All participants will have plenty of time to explore Scotland and experience the Fringe on their own, in addition to time in York, Stratford -Upon- Avon, London and the West End upon arrival to the UK. Brio is proud to announce that we have been selected as the youngest group to travel with AHSTF in the history of their programming. Students traveling with Brio will be allowed to travel as young as 10 years old through high school.
Summer Theatre Conservatory

Brio’s Summer Theatre Conservatory is more than just a camp! It offers more than just a standard camp experience! Summer Theatre Conservatory gives your actor the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects from improv and combat to script writing and dance. Actors will be spending hours exploring subject and advancing skills in a variety of theatrical subjects throughout the summer as well as seeing their new skills come to life in full productions every 3 weeks! Conservatory focuses on growing your actors life skills on stage and off. Our teachers help our students thrive in their confidence, become creative in their problem solving, and nurture their cooperation skills all in a safe, fun and creative environment. Theatre skills are forever skills and as our students support and encourage each other through camp your actor will shine!

We invite your budding actor to begin their Theatre journey with Shorewood’s Brio Performers! This brand new program allows our North Shore actors to explore the world of Theatre one scene at a time with their Brio Besties. This exciting class invites aspiring actors to study the fundamentals of acting, experience elite Musical theatre training, and workshop and perform a scene from Disney's favorite Encanto.
